I liked this story and the heroine's sad past was a surprising twist. Her occupation was interesting as well. The heroine's use of euphemisms in the sex scenes felt off to me, though. And William talked way too much during sex, and not dirty talk. Almost conversational talk, which made me tell him at one point to "shut up!" :-) The secondary character of Beckett and all the food stuff were a couple of the best things about the book! Good writing, if a bit too much description and rehashing of her feelings, decisions, etc. I'd read more of her, though.
